May 11th Press Release
Michael Shynes to Release Debut Album in Minneapolis
Singer-songwriter’s Full-Length “Lifeline” will drop next month
On Friday, May 11th, emerging solo artist Michael Shynes will be hosting his CD Release Show at the CM Photographics Studio in Dinkytown. “Lifeline”, a 10 song effort that was self produced by Shynes, possesses a mixture of songs that range from stripped acoustic to piano driven pop. Fresh off a recent trip to the East Coast and a performance in NYC, Shynes has returned home to share the night with his many fans and close friends in the area. He will be backed by a full band for the majority of the show, but will open acoustic with a myriad of guest musicians.
Opening the show will be Ohio based solo artist Kevin Daniel. His song “Guarded” was recently featured on the hit series “Vampire Diaries”, and he just finished up touring with last year’s winner of The Voice, Javier Colon. He is currently writing his first full length album, and his two previous releases were recorded with famed producer Mikal Blue.
The venue for the show is actually a photography studio owned by up and coming photographer and business mind Chris Meyer. His company, CM Photographics, was one of only two companies that were mentioned in Facebook’s IPO Filings when the company went public. The other was Proctor and Gamble.
Doors will open at 8 PM and the show will begin at 9. Other acts that will be on stage for the evening will be newcomers White Lines Grey Matter and Twin cities veterans West of Aldine. White Lines is fresh off releasing their first EP “Water & Sand” last month, and West of Aldine was recently named Artist of the Week by Music Scene MPLS.
